Desi Groom Marries Via Video Call After Toxic Boss Denies Leave; Internet Jibes ‘Kharche Bacha Liye’

A Turkish boss denied his Indian employee, based out of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, attending his own marriage. The refusal led to a bizarre virtual wedding function, as the bride from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh connected over a video call. The qazi performed the ceremony even as the groom logged on from Turkiye. The nikaah happened in haste owing to the girl’s ailing grandfather, who, per reports, insisted that she marry at the earliest. While the groom appeared for his marriage on the web, the calvary of his baraat traveled from Bilaspur to Mandi for the ceremony on Monday.

Netizens reacted to the virtual marriage over ungranted leave. One user quipped, “Honeymoon bhi online hoga kya?” (Will they also conduct a virtual honeymoon?) Another jibed, “Karcha bach gaya.” (Expenses saved.) Expenses were hardly saved as both the families did attend the wedding at the bride’s home with much fervor and festivities. Meanwhile, netizens slammed the toxic boss for not allowing his employee an emergency leave for his own friggin wedding! Others suggested he quit wherever he is employed and look for a better company with a humane boss.
