In Paramount+’s upcoming Christmas flick Dear Santa, one typo can ruin your entire holiday season.
Directed by the Farrelly Brothers (Dumb and Dumber), Dear Santa centers on young Liam (Robert Timothy Smith, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew), who writes a letter to the North Pole asking for Santa to reveal himself. The only problem? Liam is a “crappy speller,” and writes to “Satan” instead of “Santa.” We’ve all been there.
Everything Christmas-y coming to Netflix in 2024
That’s great news for the Devil (Jack Black, Kung Fu Panda), who pops up from hell to offer Liam three wishes. It seems like the perfect Christmas present, apart from one thing: Once Liam makes all his wishes, Satan will claim his soul. Suddenly, the tradeoff isn’t sounding too great.
Dear Santa‘s trailer shows Liam and Satan getting up to all sorts of mischief, including crashing a Post Malone concert and cursing a biker to poop his pants. But overall, Liam seems pretty incorruptible. Could he bring some good into Satan’s life this holiday season?
Dear Santa premieres Nov. 25 on Paramount+.
