Xiaomi Set To Launch Android 15-Powered HyperOS 2 Update Globally This Month

Xiaomi has officially unveiled the global rollout of HyperOS 2, an upgraded version of its operating system first introduced in 2023. Based on Android 15, HyperOS 2 promises to bring a smoother, faster experience to a wide range of Xiaomi devices, including smartphones, tablets, and wearables. The update will start rolling out in November 2024, with a gradual rollout expected over the following months.

The Xiaomi 14 series will be among the first devices to receive the update, including flagship models like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14, as well as the Xiaomi MIX Flip. The update will also extend to devices from the Redmi Note 13 series, including the popular Redmi Note 13 Pro+ and Redmi Note 13 Pro. For tablet users, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is also set to receive HyperOS 2, as well as the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro in the wearable category.

Xiaomi has broken down the rollout into two phases. In Phase 1, starting in November, the focus will be on premium devices like the Xiaomi 14T Pro, Xiaomi 13T Pro, and the Redmi Note 13 series. Additionally, several POCO models, including the POCO F6 Pro and POCO X6 Pro, will get the update, alongside the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 tablet.

In Phase 2, which begins in December, the update will be made available to a broader set of devices, including the Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi 12 series, and Redmi Note 12 series, as well as various POCO F5 and POCO X5 models. Tablets like the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Redmi Pad Pro will also be updated. This phased approach ensures that the update reaches a wide range of users, from high-end flagships to more affordable models, ensuring that Xiaomi’s entire ecosystem is connected under a unified experience.

While the update will be rolled out gradually, Xiaomi has assured users that the update will be worth the wait. The company promises that HyperOS 2 will bring improved stability, faster performance, and an all-around better user interface, making it a significant leap forward from the original version. The update is designed to cater to both high-end and mid-range devices, optimizing performance based on the device’s capabilities.

This global rollout of HyperOS 2 is part of Xiaomi’s long-term strategy to create a seamless software experience across its range of products. By building an ecosystem where smartphones, wearables, and tablets work together more effectively, Xiaomi is taking a bold step toward offering a unified, high-quality experience for its users worldwide. As the rollout progresses into 2025, more Xiaomi users will experience the latest Android innovations, cementing Xiaomi’s position in the competitive mobile OS landscape.
